Jethro Teams
 
A “Jethro Team” is typically a gathering of four or five churches that have challenges or opportunities around a common issue. Generally, a Jethro Team is comprised of new church plants, churches embracing revitalization or some “Best Practices” issue. It works because the issue is common to all; it is NOT an appropriate strategy for churches with different issues. The advantages include a larger “brain trust” when churches are smaller and the opportunity to share the fees among the participating churches. This is especially important for new church plants and churches undergoing revitalization.
